Announcing the names of the accepted students in the foreign
scholarship plan for the year (2023-2024)
The Minister of Education grants the names of male and
female students accepted in the foreign scholarship plan for the year (2023-2024)

His Excellency the Minister of Education, Dr. Hamad Al-Adwani,
approved the names of those admitted to the foreign scholarship plan of the
Ministry of Higher Education for the year (2023-2024) for students who obtained
high school diplomas in the years 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 of various types from
public, private, and foreign schools.
The Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher
Education, Ms. Lamia Al-Melhem, announced in an official statement the names of
the students accepted in the Ministry’s Foreign scholarship plan for the
academic year (2023-2024), where Al-Mulhim congratulated the male and female
students accepted in the external scholarships and their families, wishing them
success in their academic lives, and pointing out the increase of number of the
accepted students compared to last year’s 3,454 students by ##, as the number
reached ##.
Al-Mulhim also explained that the foreign scholarship plan
for this year, which was put forward by the Ministry of Higher Education,
included several specializations in several new countries, Including
specialization in immunology and pathology in (Australia), as well as
specializations that have been included in (new countries) such as aviation
management, meteorology in (Canada), dentistry, aviation engineering,
occupational therapy and oral health in (Australia), and specialization in
science Medical laboratories in (United States of America), speech therapy specialization
in (New Zealand), and radiology specialization in (United Kingdom), and medical
specializations such as human medicine specialization in the Royal College of
Surgeons (RCSI) in (Kingdom of Bahrain), and allied medicine had a share in the
process Registration, and this diversity comes in accordance with the interest
of the Ministry of Higher Education to diversify the educational outcomes in
line with the requirements of the labor market and to provide the health system
with medical specialties of high quality and efficiency, as the seats of
medical specialties (medicine _ dentistry) have been increased in the original
foreign scholarships plan This year by 60% compared to last year, which came
under the guidance and direct follow-up of His Excellency the Minister of
Education, and the determined efforts of the cultural offices in the delegating
countries and their fruitful cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education.
Al-Mulhim also
explained that the Ministry also grants various external scholarship programs,
including merit scholarships and direct dispatch missions for medical
specializations. Students wishing to receive foreign scholarships can apply
through the official website of the Ministry, and registration is open and
continuous until February of 2024, noting that the Ministry does not specify
specific seats for the direct scholarship plan. If the conditions of the
universities in the countries of delegation are met, the student obtains
academic admission, and the conditions for direct scholarship missions are met,
the student will be accepted directly into the scholarship.
This comes in the pursuit
of the Ministry of Higher Education to provide several paths and opportunities
for our children who wish to study abroad in the specializations needed by the local
labor market.
Al-Mulhim stressed the
need for students to adhere to the immigration laws in the countries of scholarship,
as well as adhering to the scholarship and equivalency regulations of the
Ministry of Higher Education to facilitate their academic journey throughout
the scholarship period to complete the mission approval procedures.
In conclusion, Al-Mulhim
called on students and their parents to follow the account of the Ministry of
Higher Education through the official social media platforms on Twitter and
Instagram to know the procedures and requests related to ‘after admission to
foreign scholarships’, through the #Wajhni campaign, and there will also be an orientation
meeting held by the Ministry of Higher Education in cooperation with Kuwait
University for the accepted students In the foreign missions over three periods
on Monday 10th July and Tuesday 11th July, where a text message will be sent to
the accepted students to know the date of the meeting.
